Viability Appraisal Funding from the AHF

We were thrilled to learn recently that we have been awarded funding of £15,000 by the Architectural Heritage Fund.

This money will enable us to conduct essential work to explore the viability of this project on a number of different levels. Our key priorities over the next few months are:

  • To work with architects and surveyors to explore the physical condition of the building, its potential for development, and the costs involved in creating the community hub we envisage
  • To carry out extensive consultation with the local community to find out what services and facilities are needed and how we can incorporate these into our vision
  • To create an initial business plan, exploring how we can make this project financially sustainable and boost the local economy
  • To research available funding options for the next stage of this project and prepare further funding bids

We are seeking support from the local community to help us carry out this work. You can find out more about how you might be able to get involved here!

  1. I am looking forward to joining you this evening at St Luke’s. I have been a member of the BFL Methodist community and do so hope our very decrepit building can be transformed so that we can treasurer it once again. Good luck.
