Community engagement

Since we began this project in January 2022 we have been blown away by the support we have received.

These are just some of the awesome comments that have landed in our inbox:

“I am 75 years old, and this brought tears to my eyes. I feel with my lifelong experiences there is something l can offer in any way to help. It really lifted my heart and regain my trust in humanity. Made me feel there is a good future for my grandchildren god bless you all.”

“This is a project that will help Buckfastleigh thrive. Thanks so much for the vision and the hard work undertaken to bring the vision to reality. ‘A centre to build resilience for the challenges that are coming our way’ Fully support the need for this. Can’t wait for the yummy cake in that cafe!”

“Congratulations for an inspiring community enterprise – it’s heartening to see positive progress being made on rejuvenating this substantial Methodist Church building as an initiative to benefit a wide cross-section of interests and age-groups across the community. I stand in admiration of the core team behind this project, pulling it all together: for your skills and dedication.”

“I have been a member of the BFL Methodist community and do so hope our very decrepit building can be transformed so that we can treasure it once again. Good luck.”

If you have any feedback – positive or negative – that you would like to share with us then we would love to hear it. We are nothing without our community – and that community is you.

You can read more about our community consultation process so far in our business plan, which you can find here.
